On-the-job first aid for your future retirees

In France, law no. 2020-840 of July 3, 2020 aims to promote the status of citizen rescuer and raise public awareness of lifesaving gestures, particularly in the event of cardiac arrest. Under article 3 of this law, all employees will receive first-aid training before they retire.

• Correct positioning: its special shape facilitates correct positioning on the lower third of the patient’s sternum.
• Correct hand position: the ergonomic knob facilitates correct hand placement for good pressure, without direct contact with the patient.
• The right pressure: an audible “click” indicates that the compression force has been reached (41 kg). Release to decompress until you hear a “click”.
• The right frequency: at the end of decompression, a “click” is heard, indicating that a new compression can be performed, at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions/min.
